Throughout my life, mathematics has played a fundamental role. Growing up in the Soviet Union within a family of engineers, I was immersed in mathematics and science from a young age. Soviet math and engineering schools were renowned worldwide, and I had the privilege of attending a math school as a child. Eventually, I pursued a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Odessa State University, specializing in captivating subjects such as Linear Algebra, Mathematical Optimization, and Cluster Analysis.

My passion for mathematics naturally led me to develop a profound interest in artificial intelligence, particularly in the domains of neural networks and unsupervised learning. Sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm for mathematics has been a joy, and I have had the opportunity to teach math at the prestigious Russian School of Mathematics. Additionally, foreign languages and optical illusions have always captivated me.

On this blog, I delve into the realm of Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Data Visualization, which are central to my professional pursuits. Languages, in particular, have held a special allure for me. As Charlemagne once wisely stated, “To have a second language is to have a second soul.” I am fluent in English, Russian, and Ukrainian, and while I have ventured into Italian and Spanish, I am continually working towards achieving fluency. Learning a language, to me, is akin to building a relationship with a potential lifelong friend.

The San Francisco Bay Area holds a special place in my heart as my second home. The region’s warm and perennially spring-like climate, seemingly devoid of winter, is a source of delight. However, what truly captivates me is the diverse and welcoming community that thrives here. People from all corners of the world come together, fostering an environment of openness and friendship that serves as an endless source of inspiration.
